Delivery Policies & Guidelines

Delivery Fees & Timing

Delivery costs are determined by your location and order volume. All estimated delivery times are approximate and subject to change.

Delivery Scope

R.H. Lutz Supply provides driveway delivery only. While our professional drivers will accommodate reasonable requests, the final decision rests with the driver for safety reasons. If you request delivery beyond the driveway, you (the co-signer) assume full responsibility for any damages, including but not limited to:

Damage to our trucks or equipment
Towing or recovery fees
Loss-of-use charges

R.H. Lutz Supply provides holds sole discretion on whether to proceed with non-standard delivery. We are not liable for any property damage, including:

Cracked/broken driveways, sidewalks, or curbs
Damage to landscaping, grass, fencing, or structures
Harm to underground systems (septic, sprinklers, drainage, utilities, etc.)

Tips for a Smooth Delivery

General Notes

Flexibility is key—drivers assess safety risks and may adjust placement accordingly.
Safety is our top priority—while we aim to meet your needs, hazardous conditions may limit options.

Customer Responsibilities

Mark your desired drop spot with a visible object (e.g., tarp, cones, chalk X) if you won’t be present.
Clear the area of vehicles and obstacles beforehand.
No arrival calls/knocks—we only contact you if issues arise. Ensure your drop location is clearly marked.
No off-road delivery—we cannot drive on grass, sidewalks, or curbs.

Driveway & Pavement Precautions

Delivery trucks are extremely heavy and may damage:

Fresh concrete or asphalt (requires ~1 year to fully cure)
Stone or paved surfaces (risk of cracking)

Overhead Hazards

Notify your sales rep during scheduling about:

Low-hanging branches, power lines, or other obstructions.
Trucks cannot operate within 10 ft (horizontal) or 30 ft (vertical) of power lines.

Underground Risks

Inform us of any buried utilities, septic lines, sprinklers, or drains. Truck weight may cause damage.

Safety During Delivery

Keep children and pets away—drivers have limited visibility behind the truck.
No installation services—materials will be dumped, not spread or leveled.

Returns & Restocking

Bulk materials are final sale.
Eligible returns incur a 25% restocking fee (subject to approval).
